Live for Love

When everything seems to be just too much, be still.
Listen to what your heart is telling you, and have your mind take a backseat.
Follow your soul.
It will tell you what to do.

Take a Chance

Life is a leap of faith. Every choice we make has consequences, we've grown up knowing that.
But as life goes on, we must make the decision to either sit on the sidelines
or leap into a world we may never have imagined.
It's your life.
 Live it.

Live Your Dreams

Amazing.

Words can't describe true love. But this comes pretty close. Absolutely amazing story.

Believe.

Believe that it's all worth it in the end. <3

What Are We Waiting For?

For the past few months now, I seem to be in a constant state of "waiting." Waiting for that test grade. Waiting for the weekend. Waiting for that day when we don't have practice. Waiting for after college. Waiting for my life to start. If I could count up all the time that I spend thinking about the future, I would literally have months to spare. I'm constantly thinking about what I want to do next, where I want to go, who I want to meet. I don't think that it's a bad thing to think about the future, so long as it doesn't dictate your present in every moment. I'm excited about my future, because to be honest, I have absolutely no idea where it will take me. I have goals that I want to work towards, places where I would love to visit, things that I want to experience. But who knows what path will lead me to it all? It's the unknowing that most excites me.

I want to do it all. It's that simple. I refuse to give up that idealism and optimism. Because it is when we start to listen to those around us who so often say, "You can't do that...it's too dangerous...you're just one person...the situation can't be fixed" that we start to become like them. We can't live our lives sitting on the sideline. There are enough followers in this world who, all too often, are satisfied with the status-quo. Frankly, I refuse to accept cruelty in this world. Injustice exists in every corner of the earth, and until somebody stands up against these wrongs, the status-quo remains. And I'm not willing to tell the next generation that I was too focused on myself to speak out for those who are so often silenced in their cries for help. Stand up with me.

I Was Here

I wanna do something that matters. Say something different, something that sets the whole world on its ear. I wanna do something better with the time I've been given. And I wanna try to touch a few hearts in this life. Leave nothing less than something that says, 'I was here'

Well, Here Goes Nothing

I'm sitting here in the Student Union, looking around at all the faces I see surrounding me. Some old, some young, all busy. Everybody's doing their own thing, myself included. Almost everybody is either on a cell phone, iPod or laptop computer. I'm not going to go on some rant about how much we all have while there are children starving throughout the world. But I could. I know how blessed I am to have the life I lead. The thing is, do I know enough to do something about it? Am I willing to step out of my comfort zone in order to affect some change in the world?

We all grow up saying, "I want to save the world." But somewhere along the line, we lose that idealism. We become so focused on our own lives, our own materials, our own success that we all too often lose that sense of responsibility. Every once and again, it comes back to us in the form of a song lyric, or an emotional television commercial, or even a unique StumbleUpon moment. We are shaken back into the reality of the world, where our lives suddenly seem so insignificant that we feel the weight of that responsibility placed heavily upon our shoulders. And what do we do? We think, "I'm just one person. What can I do?" And to be honest, we're right. We are only individuals. But if you are reading this, we're now more than individuals. We are a movement. The hope and wonder that we once felt as children are still deep within us. The question remains, are we going to let them shine through us or remain silent in a world that is crying out for help?

"Never doubt that a small group of concerned citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
-Margaret Mead
